The makers of Dragon's Lair got a $550,000 Kickstarter going to make Dragon's Lair: The Movie. Destiny's Festival of the Lost is ready for Halloween. And while Sony didn’t ninja-launch No Man’s Sky at Paris Games Week (sorry, rumor mill), it did announce a June 2016 launch window.
What are you playing this weekend?

A lot of this weekend will likely see me playing Brigador to prepare for my review. For an Early Access game, it's not too bad so far, considering I'm usually not that good at mech-style games. Plus the controls take some getting used to. My main issue is constantly running into things, since rotating your weapons and rotating your feet are two different controls—though I have yet to see if the game accepts controllers. Beyond that, I'll probably start up Tales of Zesteria. Plus, with Halloween coming up, I'll probably "celebrate" by playing Silent Hill: Homecoming. I've never finished a Silent Hill game, and have only started a handful, but I picked this one up awhile back when it was on sale, so, I figured this weekend is as good a reason as any to finally start it.

I finished Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Overall a decent, if formulaic, entry. But I loved how Ezio's story ended with him finding Altair's remains in that tomb. Sometimes you've seen too much and it's time to settle down. I'm glad Ezio got a peaceful ending. So now I'm moving onto Assassin's Creed III, the one that sharply divided the fanbase.

Most of my weekend I will be spending with Assassin's Creed Syndicate for my upcoming review. I also picked up Assassin's Creed Unity over the weekend; I didn't play it on launch due to the fact that it apparently didn't work. But if I'm reviewing the next in the series, I want to be as up to date as possible, so I will be playing a little bit of that as well. I may be in danger of Animus overexposure.

In honor of Halloween, I'll be finally getting around to playing through my copy of Until Dawn. I don't expect many of the people in my playthrough will survive, but I'll try my best. I think it's also the perfect weekend to dive back into some campaign playthroughs of Left 4 Dead 2.

Wooo, ran into a near showstopper in Divinity: Original Sin. The game actually expected me to think in order to solve a murder mystery, and I wasn't ready for the game to stop holding my hand just yet. But, the game also expects me, at times, to be a sneaky rat bastard in order to acquire evidence. It's just one more item in a lengthening list of unexpected gameplay scenarios. (And I mean "unexpected" in a good way.) There's little chance for anything else, since I'm in nose-to-the-grindstone review mode. But I might poke my head back into Until Dawn if I need an hour or two's worth of palate cleansing

Been so busy these last weeks between a lovely house guest, a trip to Paris, catching a West End show in London last weekend, and, tomorrow, back to London for a memorial service for the Armenian Genocide in Westminster Abbey. I've barely gotten any gaming in lately, and my library is feeling a little stale. These London excursions have left me wanting to pick up Assassin's Creed Syndicate, but after the Unity debacle, I'm waiting for all the reviews to come out first. I have squeezed a few games in on FIFA 16 Ultimate Team, and will squeeze in a few more. Also, I'm starting up Pool Nation FX for an upcoming review. But I want something with a nice, big story to get lost in. Not sure if I'll try a new game this weekend or just bide my time for Fallout 4. Oh, I just got in on the technical test for Battleborn this weekend, so I'll be playing a few rounds of that as well.

This weekend will see me play some more Diablo III, as I've stepped away from the game for a bit to try out other things. Killing Floor 2 will also be on the agenda, as that's something I've been meaning to get into. Finally, I think I'll go a few rounds in Civilization V since I just got a new Surface Pro 4 and would like to see how well the touch controls work in the game.
