Destiny has introduced in-game purchases with a new silver currency. The hotness is 18 new emotes you can buy. One of them is the Carlton Dance, made famous by the character Carlton (duh) from '90s TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. You either have no idea what I'm talking about, or you know all the words rapped in the theme song. Those are the only two types of people in this world.
Of the 18 emotes, I think "tantrum" is actually my favorite. It's so erratic.
Arreks Gaming goes through the steps you need to take to make the emote purchases. There's even a 15-minute refund timer, where you can get your money back if you're not satisfied with your purchase. That's interesting. But, even if you purchase all 18 emotes, you can still only equip one at a time. The other three directions on your D-pad stay mapped exactly as they were (sitting, pointing, and your class's original dance). At the end of the video, Arreks previews all the emotes.
We gave Destiny an 8 out of 10 when it launched in September 2014, and it's only gotten better with the rollouts in Year Two, Destiny: The Taken King, which launched on September 15 of this year.
