October 21st 2015. The infamous date where Marty McFly traveled to in Back to The Future: Part 2. So has the future really changed that much? Sadly, no self lacing shoes or hover boards just yet. Well, none that are easily affordable and available to the public. We don't have 20+ Jaws movies either, but we do have 7 Fast and Furious movies, 7 Saw movies, a 24th James Bond movie and 3D galore. Close enough.
In any case, it's pretty exciting to see these dates from 70's and 80's movies to come up and it's funny to see how they thought the world was going to be 30 years in the future. Since the anniversary of the original film is coming up Telltale games has decided to celebrate.
Telltale has announced that Back to the Future: The Game is being re-released as a 30th anniversary edition called Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition. The game will feature improved textures that take advantage of current gen tech and will feature updated voice from Biff Tannen's original voice actor, Tom Wilson. This edition will also come with new content including behind the scenes videos and interviews with Tom Wilson, movie trilogy co-writer and producer Bob Gale, members of the dev team and AJ LoCascio the voice of the young Marty McFly.
The game will be available digitally and via retail on Tuesday, October 13th for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4.
