We haven't even started rocking yet, but Rock Band 4 update information is upon us

Rock Band 4 is slated for review next week on October 6, and even though the highly anticipated party hasn't been released, that isn't keeping Harmonix from giving details for the first update to the game.

The first update will primarily look at expanding upon the social and competitive features of the game, along with plenty of surprises for everyone out there who gets the game. The best part of this update that's coming up is that it will be free for everyone, which is a pleasant surprise in this day in age where DLC rules most titles. While we expect extra songs in the future to cost players a little extra, it's great to see some free content being added in.
