It's been a long time coming, but Valve's finally releasing a game with the Source 2 engine. The previous engine powered many games in Valve's library and today the first one in a long line of games (hopefully) to use it will be DOTA 2.
The tweet from the DOTA 2 Twitter account states that the Reborn update is being rolled out in a couple hours. You can see all the features of Reborn on their site and it's been in beta for a bit. But the push to production makes it the first Source 2 engine game out in the wild.
Now, let's get some games in other IPs to be released, like say Left 4 Dead 3 or Portal 3 or a new Team Fortress. Perhaps a new Counter-Strike as well. That's all I can think of. Am I leaving any other franchises out? No? Good.
