Remember back on April Fools' Day 2014 when Google Maps made it so you could collect Pokemon all over a real world map? Wouldn't that be awesome if it were a real thing that lasted more than a day? Well next year it looks like that might happen with Pokemon GO!...or this is a incredibly early 2016 April Fools' Day joke.
The Official Pokemon Channel on YouTube put up a trailer today that shows players from around the world using their smart phones to track down, battle, and capture Pokemon, including a large gathering of trainers in an attempt to take down an AR Mewtwo within a ten minute time limit. Now granted when the final app comes out next year for iOS and Android it's probably not going to be the AR masterpiece that you see in the video, but I'm honestly surprised it did take this long for something like this to be made.
