Asteroid Base has announce a release date for their upcoming co-op shooter Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. The game will be hitting Xbox One and Steam on September 9th. The game will cost $14.99 and pre-orders open up August 27th.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a frantic co-operative action game that can be played with a friend or an AI companion "pet". It forces players to work together while running back-and-forth between the spaceship's controls, weapons, and defenses. It looks a lot like if you took FTL, played with a friend, spilled paint all over the color pallet, and had to hit and operate moving targets while in combat. I love FTL so any gameplay elements it wants to borrow are fine in my book. The game looks good as you can see for yourself in the trailer below.
