Stockholm-based developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced that Cities: Skylines will be receiving its first expansion After Dark on September 24. After having reviewed and absolutely loved the original game, I'm excited to be able to experience my city creations at nighttime. When cities switch from day to night, many changes occur that are more than just visual elements. Changes such as less citizens on roads creating for less traffic as well as crime increasing during the night.
Players will be able to adjust their budges based upon the time of day to ensure that services operate the most efficiently. For example, the police budget can be set higher at night to be more vigilant for crime in addition to more garabage trucks at night because of the lessened private vehicle traffic. Read about more of the changes that arrive with night in the latest developer diary.
Cities: Skylines After Dark will launch on September 24 for PC, Mac, and Linux and retail for $14.99.
