I was a big fan of Crackdown. I hated Crackdown 2. Crackdown 3 looks really, really good though. Unveiled at Gamescom today, the game has that cell-shaded look and the action looks great.
You're off trying to clean up a new city and you can see in the trailer released that those addictive orbs are back. From the looks of it, you'll be taking down the cities crime and each area can affect or lead to another.
Multiplayer was being touted and they are saying that the environment is 100% destructible. We'll have to wait and see if you can level the entire city during gameplay, but the effects are pretty impressive when seeing buildings fall down, knocking over other builds. The trailer touts that this is possible with the help of the Cloud computing feature that Microsoft has been pushing since the release of the Xbox One.
Crackdown 3 comes out next year and I hope the game lives up the the hype. While the second one was really disappointing, there's potential in the third to take the series to a whole new level.
