World of Tanks fans: Your wait is over.
Xbox One will have its own version of the ever popular online battle game. With one of the largest online communities of all time, Wargaming.net is happy to say that World of Tanks is launching on the next generation platform and, along with it, will integrate with the already existing community on Xbox 360 for cross-platform play. Denny Thorley, SVP of product development for Wargaming.net has had a hard time containing his excitement.
“Across all platforms, World of Tanks has one of the most dedicated online communities of players and we are expanding that community as we break new ground with this revolutionary cross-platform play functionality on consoles. With this technological innovation we are able to bridge the battlebetween Xbox One and Xbox 360 tankers, and we’re excited to offer players their first-everopportunity to play across the two, together and seamlessly.”
The cross-platform play will not only integrate matches, but will also integrate voice chat between the two consoles. All a player needs is an Xbox Live Gold account and you're ready for battle. It's free to play, so get online, get it downloaded, and hit the front lines ready for battle!
