Atlus and Vanillaware made their fans extremely happy earlier this week when they announced a new project for 2016 entitled Odin Sphere Leifdrasir. No, this isn’t going to be a sequel for the beloved PS2 classic, Odin Sphere, nor is it doing to be a straight-forward remake. This will be a full makeover of the game with updated visuals, new enemies and maps, an improved alchemy system, an improved combat system, and a completely re-arranged soundtrack. The goal isn’t just to update the old version, but to make it better in a variety of ways.
The new version is being developed for all three of Sony’s systems: PS3, PS4 and Vita. So far, it has only been confirmed to release in Japan next January. However, don’t get too worried, as the game has a loyal following worldwide and there are very good chances that we will see it released elsewhere too.
