Developer NeocoreGames, creators behind The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing trilogy, in collaboration with Games Workshop have announced their next game in production, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr. Set in the violent and bloody 41st millennium, Inquisitor – Martyr is an action role-playing game that is aiming to set a new milestone for the genre.
The game will include a single player campaign that has players being agents of the Inquisition, after which will unlock a persistent sandbox to continue their journey. The persistent sandbox feature is described as providing years of entertainment with a continual stream of new gameplay content.
NeocoreGames Producer Zoltán 'Pozs' Pozsonyi describes their decision behind developing a Warhammer 40,000 game, "There's a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it's intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an Action RPG. Working with Games Workshop, we're doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We're huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game."
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will be available in 2016 for PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in 2016.
