After some previously troubling rumors that Nintendo of America would not bring Tomonobu Itagaki's action title Devil's Third to the States, it seems that NOA will indeed be publishing the game for Wii U. Devil's Third was conspicuously absent from Nintendo's E3 presentation this year, and while Japan and Europe both received late August release dates, an American date was absent.
Nintendolife is reporting that NOA sent out a tweet confirming they are "excited to bring the game to Wii U and will have more to share soon." This appears to debunk rumors that NOA had lost confidence in the game and a 3rd party publisher would have to localize the distribute Devil's Third. It's great news considering this was one of the standout surprises from E3 2014 and from what Itagaki-san has said it sounds like a rather ambitious game.
