In TellTale's episodic take on Minecraft, you're a part of a group of adventurers that "find something weird," and following a cataclysmic event they band together to survive. I trust TellTale to make a good story, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with Minecraft. It's hard to imagine a story being in the world of a game that is so specifically without narrative, but I'm sure most of us can have faith in the developers.
One of the most interesting things about this game is the surprisingly stellar vocal cast. The main character is voiced by Patton Oswalt, with other actors such as Brian Posehn, Billy West from Futurama and Corey Feldman. Yes, that Corey Feldman.
I'm also surprised by how authentically Minecraft it looks. Everything seems just as it should be, with the blocky environments and characters everyone has come to know over the years. Then again, I don't know what I was expecting, and I don't know why I'm surprised by the consitent quality of TellTale's games either.
Watch the trailer for yourself below, it's pretty nifty.
