Tavern Brawl Week 3 is now live on Blizzard's free to play card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. Week one saw players take control of one of two bosses from the Blackrock Mountain expansion with pre-constructed decks. Week 2's challenge was to construct your own deck and get a random banana spell for every minion that died. I built a Mage deck that was winning about 85% of matches there. Week 3, however, is much more random. You choose a hero and get a deck teeming with Webspinners that, when killed, will give you a random beast card. The rest of the deck is filled with random spells from your character class. There is a lot more luck involved this week because that dead Webspinner might give you some useless angry chicken, or drop a legendary in your hand.
I found myself really moving away from Hearthstone lately, largely due to how incorrigible I find much of the playing community to be (but that's a topic for another post), but Tavern Brawl has really brought me right back in. Many of my other gripes have been directly addressed with Tavern Brawl and it just makes the game feel fair again.
