With ten days to go in their kickstarter, the Bard's Tale IV team over at inXile Entertainment have announced a secondary goal, even though they have reached the $1.2 million target that they set three weeks ago. Chris Avellone, who has worked with both Interplay and Obsidian Entertainment, is now set to join the team if the fundraiser reaches $1.9 million in the next week and a half.
Avellone has worked on some solid projects in the past, including the Neverwinter Nights series, Baldur's Gate, Alpha Protocol, and most recently Wasteland 2, another kickstarter project. While this project is going to push forward with or without him, having a seasoned and talented developer such as Avellone on the team would make Bard's Tale IV that much better.
The kickstarter will officially end on Friday, July 10, at exactly 9:00 PM EDT, so for those who want to see this boost to the development team, head over there and donate!
