E3 2015: Platinum Games brings action to Transformers G1 [Transformers Devastation]

Activision and Platinum Games are bringing nice little surprise to E3 this year with Transformers Devastation. The game is a cel shaded brawler based in the Transformers G1 universe, not the Michael Bay crap that most of the other games have devolved into. The game is being targeted for release on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Transformation Devastation will put you in control of one of five Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock, as you battle to stop Megatron from cyberforming Earth. The original voice cast of the cartoon show is on board to add their voices to the adventure, making it a truly authentic experience.

If Platinum Games knows how to do anything, it is to create this style of game. They have done amazing things with the Bayonetta series, Madworld, and the recent Legend of Korra. The visual style looks amazing and I cannot wait to see it in action this week.
