Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Streum On Studio have released new screenshots for upcoming first-person shooter Space Hulk: Deathwing, which is based upon the Games Workshop boardgame set that takes place in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game features a single-player campaign mode as well as cooperative gameplay that utilizes various classes and squad tactics in combat. In both single-player and multiplayer, the team leader known as the Librarian issues orders to their Terminator squad.
The game's narrative was written by Black Library author Gav Thorpe and has players embarking on missions through the labyrinths of various space ships. However, these space ships have been infested by the relentless Genestealers that are made even more difficult with a dynamic AI system that takes into consideration factors such as player ability and how well squad members are progressing through missions.
Space Hulk: Deathwing is scheduled for release in 2016 for PC and consoles.
