I have a love hate relationship with the Madden games. For years I wouldn't even touch these games cause I was so upset about getting exclusivity for the NFL license, and such, the outstanding NFL2K games ceased to exist. A few years ago I decided to check out the latest Madden game and I actually enjoyed it. Of course one of the best parts of Madden have always been the soundtracks and EA has announced that EA Trax will be returning in Madden 16.
No official tracks have been announced yet but EA Sports will be teaming up with Spotify to offer a new Madden NFL Channel and will feature songs from previous Madden games. When Madden 16 launches, the Spotify channel will be updated with the full game soundtrack. In addition, the channel will be updated with new music throughout the NFL season.
As you would expect, you can also get some goodies if you pre-order at GameStop. For pre-ordering you will receive $15 worth of Live Nation Concert Cash. Players will also get $15 worth of Madden Ultimate Team content.
Madden 16 launches on August 25, 2015 and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3.
On a side note, when I think of Madden 02, I get that tingly nostalgia feeling all over. I had this on the Gamecube and I play a lot of it. Years later, I can only remember one song from that soundtrack, which was "Mathematics" by Mos Def, which is a song I have been listening to for 13 years now. Good times.
