It looks as if the persistent rumors regarding the next installment of the Skylanders series was true: vehicles are coming! Skylanders Superchargers, which will release on September 20, 2015, will bring a new gameplay experience to the popular franchise.
The game will introduce a new class of characters, known as the Superchargers. These Skylanders are all new and unique characters with their own arsenal of special abilities and weapons; there are 20 Supercharger characters and 20 vehicles lined up for the game, each with their own figure. You can mix and match the Supercharger characters with all of the vehicles, but matching up a character with its signature vehicle results in a “supercharged” version of that character. All of the vehicles are customizable via special modicifations and weapons. All of the previously released figures can be combined with the vehicles too, giving you hundreds of combination possibilities.
Activision is releasing the game on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Wii U systems. A different, unique version of the game will also be available on the original Nintendo Wii and the 3DS.
