Back in 2012 Obsidian ran a very successful Kickstarter campaign for an RPG called Pillars of Eternity which ended up being one of the highest funded Kickstarters at the time. The game was released not too long ago and got a pretty positive review from our own Rob Larkin. Well, a new Kickstarter has been announced, but this one isn't for a new video game, but rather a new card game.
Pillars of Eternity: Lords of the Eastern Reach is an upcoming strategy card game based on Pillars of Eternity. The goal is to build and protect a city, hire heroes and troops, go into dungeons to find loot, and more. As of this moment there's 28 days left in the campaign and it's already well over the needed amount. The game itself is a physical game but some of the backer rewards include digital copies of Pillars of Eternity, it's soundtrack, guidebook, almanac, and more. We might not normally cover card games on here (except for the occasional Magic: the Gathering post), but fans of Pillars of Eternity might be interested in checking this one out.
