Microsoft's Cortana is coming to iOS and Android. A Wii allegedly burned down a man's RV. And some site called YouTube just turned 10.
What are you playing this weekend?

This weekend will be seeing me play a lot of Stretchmo for my upcoming review, and aside from the fact it's a "freemium" game, it reminds me a lot of Pushmo...which makes sense, really. I think what'll make or break the game is if it's worth paying for the different "attractions," as they're priced between $3 and $5, depending on the pack you get. Beyond that, I'll also be trying to make progress through Axiom Verge. It's starting to remind me of Metroid in more than just graphics and gameplay; I'm to that point where I have to keep questioning where the heck do I go next, and constantly retracing my steps to see if I missed anything.

I will be heading back into Splatoon to see what the servers look like post launch, and maybe level up a bit to improve my loadout. I may also continue my Star Wars nostalgia trip with X-Wing Alliance.

This weekend I'll continue playing through The Witcher 3 as I continually get distracted by the various side quests and activities. I'll also be working on my review of recently released The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III.

I'm fully back into the thrall of MechWarrior Online after dabbing in the game last weekend. The fight-tweak-fight mechanic scratches a primal itch for me, and I'm starting to explore the Community Warfare section of the game. My first two ventures into that part of the game did not go well, but I am learning the maps and how to pick which group of four mechs I want to bring into the game with me. Time permitting, I'm going to pick up The Witcher 3 for the console so that I can hang out with my wife and play the game. With the BPL season over and with the heat of summer preventing yardwork in the afternoon, we need a way to kill some time together.

I'm saving up my pennies for The Witcher 3. I could play The Witcher 2 until then, but it wouldn't be the same. See, I don't want Geralt, I want of Rivia. So, until then, I'm getting my teen angst and ennui on with Life Is Strange (biatches). Developer Dontnod proves that Telltale (hella) don't have a monopoly on the contemporary adventure game formula.

I've only been able to put in about an hour of gaming on my PS4 in the last week. That's going to be remedied this weekend. I started Battlefield 4 a week-and-a-half ago on the double XP bonus. So a little more of that, some FIFA, and keeping on with AC IV: Black Flag will do me just fine.

Most of my gaming weekend will be spent reviewing Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark, but if I have some extra time I’ll be wrapping up the platinum trophy for the fantastic Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. You could always read my review for it (cheap plug) or just buy it, I promise that you won’t regret it.

Grand Theft Auto V has been my go-to game this past week, and I'm going to keep playing that until I finish the story. It's been a lot of fun—more than the last few GTAs for me. Between heists and missions, I'll pop into Diablo 3 for a quick rift or two.
