Brett Douville is back with part 2 of his livestream of Star Wars: Republic Commando, the game he served on as lead programmer way back in 2005. Highlights of this session include special guest appearances by legendary Lucasarts developer Daron Stinnett and composer Jesse Harlin, who did the music and sound editing on the game. It must have been cool for Stinnett to work on Republic Commando as he spearheaded development of Dark Forces back in 1995, so he had over a decade of Star Wars FPS experience!
It's also interesting that George Lucas himself gave pointers on how to improve the game, like giving the Delta Squad clones more humor and personality. This made the game quite a bit better, which is in sharp contrast to Lucas's heavy-handed input on Fracture and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which were reportedly disastrous for both projects.
Check out the video below, it's a fascinating watch for Star Wars fans and gamers alike.
