Rock Band isn't the only musical game making a comeback. Today, Activision unveiled Guitar Hero Live, a brand new take on the series.
You'll notice the guitar's controller has changed from five colored buttons to two rows of three buttons. There are now three lanes and each fret shares one of the three lanes.
Instead of playing in computer generated venues, the development team recorded live performances that will have you looking out to the crowd and to your band mates. Do good and you'll see the venue rock to your song. Perform badly and you'll see the crowd and your band mates react to you the same way.
There'll also be a TV area where you can play along with different songs that are being run 24/7. There are various channels with different playlists that you can play.
$99 will get you the new controller and the game, which will come out to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and some mobile products. I'm sure we'll get more info when E3 rolls around.
