I've been looking forward to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for some time now. CD Projekt Red did not disappoint with the first two installments in the franchise, and this edition looks to be bigger and bolder than ever. I was interested before I watched the trailer before, but I think now all I can say is: "Please take my money."
Typically, gameplay trailers are just 2-3 minute music videos showing some footage without context. But this video really opens the world to the viewer and gives a delightful taste and in great detail of what this game delivers. It checks in at nearly 5 minutes and afterwards I truly felt I knew what I am in store for.
Now it's rare that I purchase a game full price. The latest FIFA is really the only game in a given year that I do that. I'm always running a backlog of games in my Steam library or in used boxes on top of my PS4 that by the time my schedule actually opens to play a new release, it's on deep discount somewhere. But I think the Witcher 3 is going to make me break that mold.
