Elite Dangerous comes to Steam today

The gorgeous space flight and combat simulator Elite: Dangerous came to Steam today. However, they are not giving out keys to people that purchased the game directly from Frontier, and the Steam community isn't digging that decision.

The community manager told everyone how to activate it as a non-Steam product, but on the Steam forums, people are calling for activation keys. Frontier says they will consider doing so if demand is high, and it is, so we'll see if they give out activation keys soon.

Similarly, the Steam features, such as achievements, are not currently supported on the Steam version. Disappointing to be sure, but again, Frontier says they will remain open if there's demand. We'll see how it expands in the near future.
