This is some sleepless, rusty-edged, next-level hip hop. Gangrene—otherwise known as The Alchemist and Oh No, the minds behind the Grand Theft Auto V original musical score—have yet another ace up their sleeve:
The upcoming Welcome to Los Santos soundtrack.
The collection of genre-spanning new music will debut on "The Lab," a brand new radio station that arrives with GTA V's April 15 PC launch.
GTA V recently left a few of our PC Master Race staffers tearing their hair out with the latest delay, but this soundtrack news comes as a nice surprise. The new album, Welcome to Los Santos, releases April 21. The in-game (and retail) album features a breadth of artists: Earl Sweatshirt, Little Dragon, Phantogram, Freddie Gibbs, Popcaan, Killer Mike, Tunde Adebimpe, and Samuel T. Herring (from Future Islands).
This is the lead track from Gangrene, "Play It Cool," featuring Samuel T. Herring and Earl Sweatshirt. Give it a couple spins.
