A look at the prototype Valve controllers for the HTC Vive

There's been talk around GDC about the special controller that Valve is using along with the HTC Vive, but pictures haven't really existed. Turns out Valve didn't want the press to take pictures, but here it is below.

Yes, it looks like the Steam controller that Valve was touting before was split and merged with a Sony Wand and/or Wiimote. You can see the touch controller on top front with a few buttons. Let's be clear these were just used for demonstration purposes and most likely nowhere near the final design, but it's kinda interesting to see what Valve has come up with for use in interacting with a VR HMD.
