According to Renegade Kid's co-founder Jools Watsham, their 3DS shooter Moon Chronicles will be complete on February 5th. A 3DS remake of the classic DS FPS, Moon Chronicles was originally envisioned as an episodic adventure, with new chapters released every few months.
Episode one launched last year, but now Renegade Kid is releasing episodes 2, 3 and 4 to the 3DS eShop all on the same day. You can buy each one individually for $4.50 apiece, or all three for a $9 season pass. This release is of course just a little early for the launch of the New 3DS XL in America; I'm excited to see how the new handheld's C-stick will work in a true FPS.
Renegade Kid said that if the initial four episodes of Moon Chronicles--which comprise the entirety of the original DS game--sold well enough, they would make a "season two" of Moon Chronicles that would effectively serve as a sequel. I loved Moon when it came out on the DS years ago so I'd love to see more content, but with Treasurenauts, remakes of Dementium 1 and 2 and Mutant Mudds Super Challenge on their plate, I'm not sure when Renegade Kid will find the time!
