Bohemia Interactive has released a development roadmap for space simulation game Take On Mars that details future content updates. Currently, the game is expected to reach beta in April and followed later by a final release in June.
Update highlights include the addition of survival elements, competitive and cooperative multiplayer mode, manned mission integration with the Space Program campaign, in-game video tutorials, and various tweaks and optimizations to prepare for the game's final release.
Take On Mars Project Lead Martin Melicharek describes the future updates:
Many, myself included, are looking forward to the addition of the Manned section to the Space Program mode, and we sincerely hope not to disappoint. This will be story driven, focusing on survival in a catastrophic failure scenario. I am sure this culmination to the Space Program mode will whet the appetite for playing with friends online in the Cooperative or planned Competitive modes. I hope to meet many of you on the surface of our red neighbour.
