At PAX South, Gearbox Software revealed the first gameplay footage of the upcoming Homeworld Remastered Collection. In addition to the new reveal trailer, the game has been announced to be launching on February 25 with pre-orders now available on Steam.
A pre-order discount of 15% off puts the game at $29.74, which includes high-definition, remastered editions of Homeworld and Homeworld 2, original versions of the games with compatibility updates, and a Homeworld Remastered Steam Multiplayer Beta.
Gearbox Software Chief Creative Officer Brian Martel described development on the remastered collection:
Homeworld is among the greatest strategy games in history, and we’re very proud of the work our team has put into bringing this exceptional series to modern PCs. We received a lot of great feedback from the passionate Homeworld fan community, and we hope to deliver a game they – and new fans from around the world – can get lost in for countless hours to come.
