Few Wii games are as infamous or well regarded as Xenoblade Chronicles. The enormously ambitious RPG took many years to develop, and was very nearly passed over for American localization. When it was finally brought over at the behest of fan campaigns, it sold through very quickly, becoming exceedingly rare and commanding ridiculous prices on the secondhand market. Luckily, that won’t be a problem anymore.
With the game’s protagonist Shulk as a headlining fighter in the new Smash Bros and an epic sequel on the horizon, the game is getting a second chance on the New 3DS. The beefed up hardware is required to play the game, after all. Xenoblade Chronicles is coming exclusively to the New 3DS on April 2nd, so if you missed the game when its very limited initial print run ran out back in 2011, this will be your chance to experience one of the greatest RPGs ever made.
