Ugh, another digital game is preparing to say goodbye to gamers on both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Capcom has announced that Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins is being pulled from both digital services over the next two weeks. The PSN version will be delisted on December 23 while the XBLA will last a little bit longer, until December 31.
Strangely, no specific reasoning was given for the title’s departure. The most likely reason is a licensing issue or expiration, but I am not sure that we will ever know for sure. This is definitely a big loss as the game is a compilation of the two of Capcom’s best arcade titles: MArvel Super Heroes and the original Marvel vs. Capcom. Our own Cyril gave the game a rave review back when it launched. If you haven’t already, I would recommend picking it up before it is gone forever.
