The first Hotline Miami was one of those games for me that kinda came out of nowhere. At first I wasn't incredibly hyped for it, but as soon as I started playing it, I was instantly hooked and the soundtrack was one of the main reasons I kept playing. I would easily put the soundtrack for the original game on my list of Top 10 soundtracks of all time and I hope the soundtrack of the sequel will be just as great.
Speaking of the sequel and It's soundtrack. Devolver Digital and Dennaton Games has announced that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will be getting a collectors edition of the game and it will include three beautiful vinyl's of the games soundtrack.
Those who pre-purchase the collectors edition will also receive a collectable phone card with a download code for the game and download of the games soundtrack on Steam as well.
The collectors edition will run you $60 and you can pre-purchase it directly from the iam8bit store starting now.
No word on an exact release date yet but they plan to ship these in Q1 2015 along side the release of the game.
I have to get one of these. I am a huge fan and collector of all things videogame art and this entire collectors edition is a true work of art.
