Rockstar "hints" at a Red Dead sequel, but not really

I've seen some people around the internet saying that Rockstar has been hinting at an upcoming Red Dead installment, and the most recent piece of evidence is in Rockstar's Asked & Answered feature. One of the questions they answered, from multiple Twitter users, was about the future of Red Dead Redemption. The developer said the following:

"It’s wonderful to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for the Red Dead series, and nearly 5 years after Red Dead Redemption’s release(!). As we’ve mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and L.A. Noire, we don’t always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won’t get to them eventually. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing. We thank longtime fans such as yourselves as always for your amazing support and please stay tuned in 2015 for announcements of what’s to come from Rockstar Games."

I think that to say this is evidence of another Red Dead is stretching it. Of course they will make another one eventually, everyone loved the original and it sold 12.5 million copies. But saying "stay tuned to see what we do in 2015" doesn't even qualify as a teaser in my mind.

But hey, if it can ease the anticipation pains, then I'm right there with the speculators. Red Dead Redemption is my favorite game that Rockstar has ever made, and I'd love to see a sequel as much as anyone else. Just don't get too attached to these vague answers. Even if they announce it, they might turn out to ship over a year after the promised.

Sorry, still bitter about the heists. Grr.
