Square Enix knows what their fans want. They also know how to properly market to increase the hype.
The Japanese developer has two popular titles due out next year in their famed Final Fantasy franchise in the forms of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy XV.
Players who want to try out the latter of the two are going to have to move quickly, because Square Enix answered a lot of questions regarding both titles in a blog post on their website that was announced with the collector's edition of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
We're never going to release it as a stand-alone piece down the line. Secondly, it's intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early — the demo will be limited to the "Day One" edition of the game, meaning that only the first shipment is going to have the demo in it. So if the demo is something you think you might like, we highly encourage you to pre-order or to be quick about getting to the store on launch day, March 17th, 2015
Well done, Square Enix. This news isn't going to make those who missed the news happy, but the company isn't going to back down in order to create more hype for Type-0, which took some heat after it was announced for Xbox One and Playstation 4, but not for its home system, the PS Vita.
So how does one go about getting this package? It's available now on SE's website for $99.99.
There's a lot to like in the collector's package, and Type-0 has a hardcore following in Japan, even if it was released three years ago. Western gamers have been begging for the title, especially Vita owners, who ended up getting the short end of the stick with the announcement.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD launches on March 17, 2015. Final Fantasy XV's official release date is yet unknown but slated for later in 2015.
