To much outcry prior to the release of The Sims 4, fans were distraught over the lack of pools. Fortunately, Sims fans can now breath a sigh of relief as the latest game update for The Sims 4 adds back pools along with even more options than past games in how to construct them.
As the developers describe the new pools, players can create "diagonal pools, exotic infinity-pools, aquarium-style pools..." and so on. In addition, the clothing type of swimwear is included in the update to ensure Sims have proper styles to swim about in the pools. If you were curious, the answer is yes to the question if Sims can drown in pools as in past games. Kudos to the developers for releasing these updates before announcing future expansion packs.
