Microsoft evolved IllumiRoom into RoomAlive and moved humanity one step closer towards Star Trek holodecks. Guinness World Records just crowned Star Citizen as the largest crowd-funded thing ever. And a bunch of people that made BioShock and BioShock Infinite set off a Kickstarter for "an eerie, surrealistic, first-person game experience."

I'll be taking care of some business up on the moon in preparation for my review of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. With as much time as I've put into the first two games, it feels a bit awkward going through a Borderlands game at a slower pace while still learning where to go, as opposed to picking up a quest and being able to practically complete it in my sleep. Even though that's taking up most of my time, I am spending a bit with Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and while I'm finding the circle pad to be a bit awkward for a fighting game, I am getting the hang of a couple of the new characters, mainly Pac-Man and Mega Man.

I'm still losing sleep and running on a semi-perpetual adrenaline buzz as I play Alien: Isolation. I've only gotten munched three times so far, and I'm rather proud of myself. That's likely to change, though, as I get deeper into the game. Seriously, Outlast and Amnesia will probably seem like a lovely scenic tour of the countryside after being stalked by the G-D Alien, as I've taken to calling it.

Another weekend, more Destiny. I still find myself checking in daily to knock off a couple of quick bounties and running a strike or two. It really, really needs some sort of matchmaking option for the raids though, because there aren't many people left on my friend's list playing the game, at least when I do. Other than that, I picked up Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS this week and I'm loving the game every bit as much as the previous versions. I won't stop until I have all of the trophies from the game. Every...single...one.

This weekend will be dedicated to playing a new game I'm reviewing but apparently can't talk about yet. Outside of that, I'll probably kill Sepiks Prime prime a few more times working through bounties and strikes in Destiny.

My phone turned into my primary gaming device recently. (I know.) While I wait for some hours-long structural upgrades in Age of Empires: Castle Siege, I flip over to the original Final Fantasy and, uh, basically run around lost in the wilderness for a while. I need a guide. And whenever the fall season rolls around, I get a hankerin' for an MMO. Maybe I'll just download a two-week trial of EVE Online and get it out of my system that way.

I'm doing a lot of online multiplayer as I finish exploring Los Perdidos in Dead Rising 3 and I playing around with all of the characters in Gauntlet. Going in, I thought that the Elf was going to be my favorite, since I'm a terrible and greedy person when I play games, but the Valkyrie is proving to be a much more versatile and fun character to play. In my opinion, anyway.
