Killer Instinct: Season 2 is on the horizon and today, Iron Galaxy pulled back the curtain on some of the changes that will be included with the game. Season 2 will not simply just be a ton of new characters, it will include tons of changes to the original characters as well. After watching the stream it looks like it will be a completely different game from what we have been playing before.
Of course some of the original 8 characters will get some buffs and nerfs, but a lot of them will also be given brand new moves. For instance, Orchid can now charge her electric blast, allowing it to travel full screen. Sadira can now jump back against the wall as a way for her to escape and Fulgore has been given a full rework of his meter. In the first season, you had to charge Fulgore's meter. In Season 2, the meter is constantly filling. The more aggressive you are, the faster it fills.
We also got a good look at TJ Combo including his Ultra Combo. Iron Galaxy will be showing more in the weeks leading up to the release of the game.
The balance changes to the original characters will be released for free on September 23rd and Iron Galaxy will keep an eye on how things go in case some changes need to be made when Season 2 goes live late October.
Be sure to check out the full video of all the changes on their official Twitch steam.
