Say goodbye to your Destiny beta characters. Capcom put together an incredibly dull "Drake vs. Lil' Wayne" rap concert app. And happy 30th birthday (sometime here in August) to Pac-Land, the first horizontally-scrolling platformer.
What are you playing this weekend?

This weekend I start playing real-life Tetris as we pack to move out of our apartment. To supplement this annoying and physically exhausting game, a buddy and I are mixing in a little Hearthstone with our five-nights-a-week of The Elder Scrolls Online.

I've finally—finally—upgraded to a PlayStation 4. I'm no longer a member of the unwashed masses or whatever we call those people still playing last-gen consoles. I'm going to go with "lastie." See ya later, lasties! Anyway, I'm playing inFamous: Second Son and hopefully Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition this week.

I finally got around to starting Dragon Age: Origins earlier this week, so I'll probably be playing a lot of that. With Inquisition coming up, it was time to dive into that series. I'll also keep the Doom 64 and Quake train rolling, and I might dig into some of my favorite old Aliens games too—Cosi is showing the first movie on their IMAX screen this weekend.

This weekend I'll be continuing my playthrough of the Metro Redux collection with which I've already completed the remastered Metro 2033 this week. As well, I hope to return to my playthrough of The Last of Us: Remastered, try out the new Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth and Titanfall Frontier's Edge maps added in their content updates, and lastly tinker around more in the recently released Sims 4 Create a Sim demo.

The only game I'm playing this weekend is: Why Do I Have So Much Stuff? This is a game where you question why you keep certain things in your life as you move them from one habitat to the next. Unfortunately this means taking apart all of the gaming gear this week. The good news is that after we get moved in next week my gaming time should go up exponentially, just in time for the fall crush of games. Counterspy is coming out next week and I'm hoping to have everything ready as I really loved what I saw at E3 this year.

This marks my fifth or sixth attempt at getting Crusader Kings II. I've had it for a couple years, yeah, but I still just don't get it. I think I just need to be OK with the idea that months—years—can go by where seemingly nothing happens, but that's all part of this one's grand-strategy saga. Plus, I have to manufacture some of the soap opera for myself, as I've noted in endless statistical lists that my wife sorta kinda doesn't like me, and while I love my three sons equally, only my firstborn heir doesn't totally hate my guts. I guess I'm just used to Civilization or SimCity, where you make multiple snappy, interesting decisions every turn, every minute.

I'm picking up my most anticipated game of the last two weeks—Clockwork Empires. It's moving out of it's own Earliest Access to official Steam Early Access, and I can't wait to wade in the mire of dystopian civ building. Normally I don't get into real-time strategy or civ-building games, but I'm willing to make an exception because I'm a big ol' softie for cosmic horror.

After 600+ hours on Diablo III, I finally got a Rhen'Ho Flayer for my Witch Doctor, and with my gear, that means I have won Diablo III. So, I'm going to play more Diablo III this weekend with my new weapon as my friends and I farm for parts needed for the Hellfire Amulet that's coming with Patch 2.1. And just for the hell of it, I'm going to fire up Battlefield 4, as I got the season pass a month ago so it's time to see what's new in that area.
