Killer Instinct: Season 2 release date revealed

Killer Instinct is returning to your Xbox One this Fall and will bring with it new characters, game modes, features and other goodies. Today, Microsoft revealed that Killer Instinct: Season 2 will be hitting Xbox One on October 15th and will bring with it the same purchase plans as Season 1. 

Here is a rundown of what you get with the Killer Instinct: Season 2 Ultra Edition

  • Eight fighters, starting with TJ Combo and Maya, and adding a new fighter each month
    Select fighter costumes and accessory packs
  • Killer Instinct 2 Classic – a perfect port of the arcade game with full multiplayer support for intense fighting over Xbox Live
  • Content Early Access – Customers who buy the Ultra Edition will get early access to characters and customization items before anyone else

Also, anyone who buys the Ultra Edition from September 23rd to October 14th will instantly get TJ Combo added to your roster and will get you early access to Killer Instinct 2 arcade. 

I waited almost 20 long years for Killer Instinct to return and I was incredibly happy with what Double Helix came up with for Season 1. I cannot wait to see the rest of what Iron Galaxy is bringing to the table for Season 2.
