I'm not going to lie, it's hard to watch the new developer diary for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and not get a bit excited for the game. Part of that is because it's one of the few big name games that hasn't been pushed to 2015 but part of it is because it looks like the team at 2K Australia is having a lot of fun with the game play mechanics.
In addition to all of the fun that comes with jetpacks and playing in a low gravity environment they are adding some new weapons which will change how you play the game. Specifically they are adding lasers and freeze weapons which means you'll be able to freeze enemies and if you freeze them solid you can break them into wonderful frozen gibs or use a laser to cut their ice statue into half.
The five minute developer diary also includes some details on the new "butt slam" mechanic which will allow players to vault up into the sky and them drop down on groups of enemies, stunning them. If you're a fan of Borderlands then it looks like this is going to be a great addition to the universe. The only downside is that you have to wait until October 14th to play it.
