Today at San Diego Comic-con Nintendo announced that they will be releasing a retail bundle of NES Remix 1 and 2 together this holiday season for Wii U. NES Remix and its sequel are retro challenge games comprised of mini-challenges based on classic NES games like The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. The Remix stages are crossovers between multiple games, like Link fighting enemies while being chased by Boos from Mario. The games were previously only available through the Nintendo eShop for $15 each, so I would expect a $30 retail price when the game finally releases.
I enjoyed NES Remix a lot and may pick this up just to have a physical copy to play the second one. Hopefully a physical copy will inspire more people to check out these awesome games, and convince Nintendo to make an SNES Remix in the future.
