We're still writing up all of our impressions from last week but it's worth noting that the ESA has announced that E3 2015 will take place from June 16-18th next year.
That isn't all that interesting in and of itself but what is interesting is that this might be the last E3 held at the Los Angeles Convention Center as 2015 is the last year of the current contract between the ESA and the LACC and there are already some rumblings that the ESA may try to move the convention to another facility in 2016.
Of course this isn't the first time we've heard this posturing as there was some rumblings before the last contract that the ESA was shopping the convention to Las Vegas, Chicago, or New York. Personally I don't see the convention leaving the state of California as almost all of the major game studios are based there and any move east would result in significantly higher travel costs. Personally I think we'll see the LACC get some upgrades and see the ESA re-sign the contract before the end of the convention next year.
