It's official: the original videogame mascot, Pac-Man himself, makes a triumphant debut in the new Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS. From the looks of it he retains his classic cabinet art appearance and not the god-awful high school Pac-Man look from Ghostly Adventures. He appears to have powers and moves associated with his groundbreaking games (ghosts, fruit!) but can also call on Galaga enemies, the Mappy mouse cop and even Dig-Dug monsters. Of course, there are a few Pac-Man inspired arenas including that unforgettable neon blue maze. Why don't you fine people just watch this trailer, while I go and try to meditate myself out of a retrogaming nostalgia-induced heart attack.
