At Sony's press conference last night, Devolver Digital got the chance to show off a couple of new titles to add to their stable, and one of them isn't a 16-bit shoot em up!
First, there's The Talos Principle from Croteam. You are an advanced AI construct tasked by your creators to show off your significance and apparently exercise your free will to solve a series of puzzles. Built with Croteam's Serious Engine 4T, you'll be able to scan real world locations and historical elements into the game world. The Talos Principle is a philosophical puzzle game that will meditate on the place of intelligence and meaning in a doomed world. Written by Tom Jubert (of FTL and The Swapper) and Jonas Kyratzes (of Infinite Ocean), this game looks to have some potent moments in store for us. The Talos Principle will be available for Playstation 4, Vita, PC, Mac and Linux. Check out the trailer below, and Croteam's website for more info.
Titan Souls from Acid Nerve was the winner of the gold award at the 2013 Ludum Dare game jam. This game takes place in the space between worlds, where powerful titans guard what shattered pieces remain of the Titan Soul. Armed with a single arrow, you must find and destroy all of the titans that are hidden and waiting in the ruins. Titan Souls will be available on PC, Playstation 4, and Vita. You can check out the screenshot below, and Acid Nerve's website for more info.
More exciting news! Free Lives' patriotic freedom simulator Broforce will now launch on the Playstation 4 and Vita alongside the PC version when it's completed, and Roll7's Not a Hero will be making it's way onto the Playstation 4, Vita as well as PC.
Philosophy! Arrows! Freedom! Antiheroes! Devolver Digital's got it all!
