C'mon, 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, England ALWAYS loses on penalties
So the FIFA World Cup kicks off in a little over a week. I know it's getting close because the Guardian's Brazil Daily podcast kicked off today.
As per usual, EA has used 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil to simulate the tournament and their predicted winner is
*drum roll*
Germany!
They beat hosts Brazil 2-1 in extra time. If you're a football fan, then I can't imagine a better final than Germany versus Brazil - Maybe Brazil versus Argentina for some Messi versus Neymar action.
You can find full sim results after the jump. It's all pretty legit except for the fact that England doesn't, at any point, lose in penalty kicks like they do in every single major competition. In fact, they WON their round-of-16 match in PKs against a probably not Falcao-less Columbian side. Whatever, EA Sports.
