From the bits I've seen, World of Warplanes undoubtedly goes above and beyond World of Tanks' gameplay. ("Above and beyond," har har.)
In this video, Flight School #6 "Ground Attack Aircraft," developer Wargaming.net assembles yet another tastefully crafted tutorial. Here they describe how your team grains superiority and wins matches by wiping out the opposing team, or by destroying ground targets.
Further, by breaking down the percentages, they make the supremacy meter more transparent. Calculating who's winning in the heat of battle can be challenging, so it's nice to see Wargmaming.net open up the kimono a bit.
The video wraps up with tactical solutions that may not be apparent to a newcomer: fly low, hit and run, focus on already-damaged targets, keep moving.
World of Warplanes is a free-to-play competitive multiplayer airplane shooter. It launched on PC in November of last year.
