One of The Creative Assembly's developers sat down for a 15-minute Let's Play video in Total War: Rome II. He selected the Battle of Pydna, cranked the difficulty up to legendary, then did his level best to crush Greek civilization under his Roman boot heel.
He makes copious use of war elephants, tries peeling off individual phalanxes of Greek spearmen, and maybe charged down the middle a little too soon while an ambush hit his flank. Good show, nevertheless.
The Battle of Pydna is a historical battle primed for a soon-to-be-released update.
Total War: Rome II launched back in September 3, 2013 for PC.
