Age of Conan recently celebrated it's sixth anniversary. I'll be honest, I didn't realize it was still around, but when it comes to MMOs most of what people talk about are games like Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, World of Tanks, and other big MMOs. That's not to say that Age of Conan is terrible or anything, but again I didn't realize it was still around...but now I'm getting off track.
Anyway, to celebrate six years of existance, players were treated to a brand new event and the massive Festival of Bloodshed PvP system. In the new event titled Shadows of the Past, players must uncover a plot against King Conan and travel to the island of Tortage to discover who is really behind the new threat. Meanwhile the Festival of Bloodshed PvP system offers players a range of activities and events to take part in as well as new PvP quests and rewards, such as a companion who taunts nearby players based on their number of PvP deaths. That sounds...interesting. Nothing like approaching someone and having their companion taunt you with "ha ha, you died twenty times? You noob." Okay, that's probably not the actual dialogue, it'd be interesting if it was.
